university hospital > greys anatomy

indeed it is. dad was recollecting about his room mate in university hospital who happened to be a hokkien speaking multiple amputee(sad, from his diabetes) and his interaction with his kid. Granted this is alot funnier in real life because
a) my dad was telling it
b) involves swearing
c) hokkien!
any how it goes something like this.
seems the amputee pisses his son off , the son shouts
son: lu chibai lau pei lah!
Dad being responds tit for tat
dad: du lanjiao kia lah!
i know, it must sound stupid but i laughed myself silly.

old man in hospital

the old man had a minor heart attack the other day which was kinda scary but he seems fine now. Well , fine after going for angioplasty. I must say the people in university hospital have been very efficient and friendly. frankly i'm surprised. Hospitals will be hospitals and is nothing like what you get in greys anatomy. It's sombre and depressing. really puts things into perspective when i was walking around and saw some of little displays on accidents and such. it was like a christmas edition of machines gone wild. the pictures of people mangled and brutalized. i'm kinda glad that i've never been or know anyone in such a situation. :(.

long time no posts

infact a totally quiet february. sigh was a busy couple of months but it's gone to a pretty normal pace now. unfortunately for jin, who'se taken over all my work heheh.
Was talking to my dad recently and learnt some interesting things about him and our family. about how my paternal grandad was an only son. Atleast the only one that survived. He had two brothers who passed away , one from sickness and one from being killed in some territorial fight before being shipped back to hainan island. We also can't trace our paternal grandmothers side of the family as it was an arranged marriage back from hainan island. Guess there's not much of a family tree on the dad's side.
We also have this friend/uncle/relative person that was a chinese butler to this general in malaya. after returning to the uk he losts his fortune and was then recommended to tiny rowland. Now at siemens house. No idea what that is though.
Totally useless information to anyone but me ^__^
Ohyeah the london trip was pretty fun except for grief and the work. "you're going to london tonight" and getting on the plane without knowing my accomodation pretty much sums up the trip. Getting off a 12 hour flight to go to the office puts my daily commute into perspective. it snowed! :D
